Actress Yewande Adekoya Abiodun To Screen Her Latest Yoruba Epic Movie @ the Cinema




 The said movie is titled "IYAWO ADEDIGBA" It is the first Yoruba epic movie to be screened at the modern cinema and is billed to be screened on Sunday 25th of June by 3pm in Ilorin and Ibadan.

MY NAME IS YEWANDE ADEKOYA-ABIODUN. I AM A NIGERIAN SCREEN WRITER, ACTOR AND MOVIE PRODUCER. I AM YORUBA, I LOVE MY NATIVE LANGUAGE AND I CAN SPEAK IT FLUENTLY. I PRODUCE ENGLISH CONTENTS ALSO BUT I PARTICULARLY LIKE TO MAKE MY MOVIES IN MY NATIVE DIALECT BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE TO BE REMEMBERED AS ONE OF THE AFRICAN FILM MAKERS WHO ALSO HELPED TO PLACE THE YORUBA LANGUAGE ON THE WORLD ENTERTAINMENT MAP JUST LIKE Our daddy @tkelani has been doing for ages even before most of us were born. May God bless his Yoruba Soul. Amen. MAKING MY MOVIES IN MY NATIVE LANGUAGE DOES NOT STOP ME FROM TRYING MY BEST TO ATTAIN WORLD STANDARD. I AM DETERMINED TO KEEP DOING MY BEST AND MAKE SURE THAT I PROUDLY REPRESENT MY NATIVE LAND AND CONTRIBUTE MY OWN QUOTA TO MY RACE. @tkelani has been a great inspiration to me.I have learnt from him that the language you use in shooting a movie is not the most important thing but how well you tell your African stories and how well you have tried to shoot those movies to standard.(To our none Yoruba speaking audience,our movies are properly subtitled in English for you,so there is no cause for alarm, we can all enjoy the Yoruba movies together, lol😂) I am not there yet Infact I have not started at all.My First attempt at the Cinemas is with my new and latest movie IYAWO ADEDIGBA. New Day Has Come For Nigerian Students Who Are On scholarships Abroad

  Today, I met with representatives of Ministries, Departments and Agencies (MDAs) responsible for the welfare of Nigerian Students on scholarships abroad who are now stranded due to non-payment of their living allowances and tuition fees by relevant government agencies. At the meeting, I directed the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) to present a comprehensive report of all Nigerian students on sch olarship abroad and their outstanding entitlements to the relevant committees of the Senate to enable the Senate make Appropriations for their settlement. Additionally, I have called for a comprehensive review of all scholarship policies in the country — through oversight — in order save Nigeria from future embarrassment. PMB Approves The Immediate Medical Treatment Of Former VP, Dr. Alex Ekwueme Abroad

President Muhammadu Buhari has directed former Vice President Alex Ekwueme be immediately flown abroad for urgent medical treatment, the presidency said Friday. PMB after being briefed on Ekwueme’s condition he authorised the trip. The former vice president, who turned 85 in October, reportedly collapsed in his Enugu residence on Sunday. On Monday, his family said in a statement that the former leader’s health was stable. PMB's directive covers “the immediate charter of an Air Ambulance for the emergency movement and the cost of treatment”, a statement signed by spokesperson Garba Shehu said.
