I'm A Natural Monarch - Oluwo
The first class paramount ruler, Oluwo of Iwo, HIM Oba Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I, has disclosed his status as a natural monarch the Yoruba race and Nigeria is blessed to have.
He said the stool of Iwo is never subordinate to any monarch in history for, the Crown is one of the very few natural Obas of Nigeria. He disclosed only the Yoruba Kings are characterized with natural crowns in Nigeria and Iwo is among the less than 10 Obas that has never been lesser Oba (Baale/viceroy) in history.
The statement was contained in a press release issued to journalists by his Press Secretary, Alli Ibraheem.
Oba Akanbi hinted the peculiarity of Iwo in the entire Yoruba nation being the only town that has never ravaged by war. He lamented the economic features of the ancient town as a factor to her non reckoning in the comity of first class city. He therefore pledged to regain and register the city in her rightful position as the bastion of progressive governance in the whole south west of Nigeria. "Iwo stool has never been subordinate to any Oba. My domain is never subjected to the dictate of any monarch. I remain the paramount ruler of my territory and attained the stays of His Imperial Majesty. I'm a natural monarch directly from the source (Ile -Ife). Oluwo is never an upgraded Oba.
